Myobrace

Myobrace “No braces better faces” for children

The Myobrace is a new orthodontic treatment that is suitable for children who have permanent teeth or mixed permanent and baby teeth with mild to moderate malocclusions. It is made of a soft silicone material that has a slot for each tooth and a tougher inner core that helps align the jaws. A tongue tag, lip bumpers and dual arch help to position the tongue properly and correct the breathing pattern.

The Myobrace serves as a suitable treatment for children to avoid braces and teeth extractions (due to teeth overcrowding) later in life. It works best when used before the full onset of permanent teeth, or between the ages of 8 and 12 years. It is used a minimum of two hours per day and at night while sleeping. Wearing the Myobrace for a longer period of time may further improve results. A full Myobrace treatment usually takes 6 to 12 months as advised by the dentist or orthodontist.
