X-Ray

Why We Need to Take Dental X-raysDental x-rays are great for showing us areas of your mouth that aren’t visible during a dental examination. They help us check for any signs of infection or disease, assess your jaw bone levels and generally allow us to evaluate your dental health. We use this information to decide if you require any treatment as well as to plan for certain procedures such as root canal treatment, orthodontics or for dental implants.

Different Types of Dental X-Rays

The most usual type of x-ray is a bitewing x-ray that shows the upper and lower teeth in one section of your mouth. We may also take x-rays that focus on a single tooth and these can be useful when we need greater detail to see any signs of infections, abscesses or cysts.

Your Safety is Always Our Priority

Lakeside Dental Spa uses digital dental x-rays that emit tiny levels of radiation and we take every precaution to ensure your safety while taking an x-ray. We only take x-rays when necessary and most healthy adult patients will only need a set of x-rays every two years or so.

We are located at 180 Main St, Kawungan QLD 4655. Please call us on (07) 4191 4787 for appointments or make one online.
