How is Bruxism Diagnosed?
Bruxism generally occurs during sleep so you may be unaware you have this problem. Symptoms can include waking up with headaches or an aching jaw and you may notice your teeth feel more sensitive due to being worn or chipped. If you think you may have bruxism then please make an appointment for a proper diagnosis as the sooner you get treatment, the less the damage to your teeth and jaws.
How is Bruxism Treated?
We will generally suggest making you a custom-made nightguard that fits over your teeth, preventing them from contacting. Sometimes bruxism is stress related so taking action to try to deal with any additional stress can help.
