Traditional dental implants often take months to complete, a fact that can put some people off this treatment. This is why All-on-Four can be particularly attractive as all the teeth in an arch are supported by four or in some cases more dental implants. Two implants are placed towards the front of the mouth while another two are placed on either side; these implants are angled to give additional support. This helps to maximise use of the jawbone and often, if conditions permit the final teeth can be fitted in just a few days.
Are Four Implants Enough?
This technique has been extensively studied and has been found to be highly successful. It has been shown that four implants are enough to support a full arch of teeth. In fact, fewer implants are easier to keep clean and maintain. Dr Khaled assesses each patient very carefully and occasionally it may be better to place more than four implants for support. We use high quality Nobel Biocare dental implants for this treatment and this brand is well-respected around the world.
Will My Teeth and Gums Look Natural?
Lots of people ask this question and Dr Khaled takes a great deal of time ensuring the final outcome is highly aesthetic. Sometimes he may need to reshape the jawbone which helps create more space for your new teeth. From there he can design your new smile so it complements your facial features and will look great.
